Whenever anyone ask me what i would like for a Christmas gift, my answer has always been books, even when i was a young boy. I still remember the thrill of receiving my first book, Moby Dick, as a Christmas present from a dotting aunt when i was about 10 years old. The excitement and joy was simply beyond words.
Unlike other gifts, books to me are timeless and i experience the same joy, if not more, when reading a book a second or even a third time round. There is just something about books, maybe it's their texture, the smell of printed paper, the visual impact of the cover or the promise of a wonderful journey, that make books so attractive to me. So, here is a selection of books from Amazon.com and with 34 per cent off books over $25, would make wonderful gifts for the coming festive holidays :

Certainly an interesting assortment of books. The Colbert and Clapton books look particularly interesting.
Hi mark,
Great to hear from you again! And you are right, Clapton and Colbert are doing extremely well and are among the frontrunners in the bestseller list.
By the way, do drop by my recently launched environmental blog - Third Rock From The Sun, if you can spare the time. Take care.
Wide array of titles here! Nice selections. I know, because I've read several of them. I think I'll finally read "Eat Pray Love," a title that keeps popping up wherever I go.
Thanks for tips!
Hi keli,
"Eat Pray Love" is a book i highly recommend. Elizabeth Gilbert's memoir of self-discovery struck a chord with many readers worldwide.
Thanks for dropping by and have a happy holiday!
This looks to be an interesting list of must read books. But I don't know whether I may be able to lay my hands on them..... :(
Cheers!
